Adam Veres leads the firm's investment strategy, portfolio construction, and risk management initiatives. With a deep analytical background and a strong foundation in technology, he transitioned into asset management following a lengthy career in software engineering. Since founding Godafoss Capital Management, LLC in 2019, he has applied a disciplined, insights-driven approach to managing the firm's portfolio and identifying market opportunities.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and a Series 65 license, and he brings more than six years of hands-on experience in portfolio management.
Ron D'Vari, PhD, CFA, oversees the firm's day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and organizational governance. He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee and the Advisory Board. Drawing on over three decades of experience in investment management, structured finance, and advisory, he brings deep institutional insight and operational leadership to the firm's strategic direction and execution.
He is also the Executive Chairman and Founder of NewOak Capital LLC, an innovative institutional specialty asset management, capital markets and advisory firm focused on tech-driven ventures NewOak Finance, an integrated B2B2C fintech platform (financial wellness, digital revolving credit, and Al risk management), Acorn Trade Finance, and bespoke sustainability and renewable finance.
Formerly a senior executive at BlackRock (member of ISG, and Fixed Income management committees), built and managed global structured finance. Adjunct Professor at UCLA, BU, and Brandeis. B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and MBA from UCLA, CFA, FINRA 24, 53, 7, and 63. He creates and guides new ventures, manages investment and advises global financial institutions, pension funds, foundations, private capital groups, family offices, government agencies, regulators, sovereign wealth funds and multinational corporations.
Jim Hwang, CFA, serves in an advisory capacity at the firm, contributing his expertise in investment process design, portfolio risk management, and the development of institutional-grade investment infrastructure. He is an accomplished institutional investor specializing in quantitative strategies and digital asset investments. He is currently the COO of Firinne Capital, a digital assets hedge fund and one of its Co-Founders. Previously, he had researched and implemented quantitative strategies and total portfolio design at major global institutions including CPP Investments, Bosera Asset Management, and Barclays Global Investors, across the various geographies of Canada, HK/China, and the U.S.
He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a B.S. in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a CFA charter holder.
